Rudmer van der Meulen
“I hope that our solutions will help more people to find more happinness and success at work.”
Rudmer is the initiator and designer of the physical value cards and the Online Drive Scan. As well as your contact person to answer any questions you may have, comments you like to make or partnership proposals you like to submit. His idea to develop these solutions and found Scarfforce came about in 2015, after experiencing first-hand what it is like to feel unhappy and demotivated at work for an extended period of time and how this undermines your success.
So, what causes this unhappy feeling and demotivates us upto a point where we don’t even feel like thriving any longer? How can you turn this around? Questions that never have left his mind since, as he did see others thrive in that aspect.
The need for answers, triggered him to conduct a personal study of the leading theories in this regard from (among others); Dick Schwab, Daniel Kahneman, Giep Franzen, Malcolm Gladwell, Joke Openhuizen, Daniel H Pink, Evian Gordon, David Rock, Richard Barrett, Yuval Harrari, the value models of (among others); Rokeach, Schwarz, Steven Reiss, Geert Hofstede, Patrick Vyncke, and the -old but still leading- motivation theory of Abraham Maslow and the 6 universal fundamental needs which he believes drive us as a human being. In combination with the innovative SCARF theory and the 5 social influences that drive our feelings and behaviours in a social context.
Thanks to the experience he gained as a brand researcher along the way, his personal quest eventually led him to develop a new drive scan that instantly and in a very simple yet effective and fun way, reveals what drives us as a person, and what makes us tick in a social context at work. An intuitive online scan that exposes in detail what it is that we need most -in our work and from our colleagues- to experience real fulfilment in our work, and to be motivated intrinsically to thrive at it. “An organized and comfortable working environment not only helps to make a good first impression on your customers, but helps to ensure happy colleagues.”
‘A day without Sanne is a day not lived.’ Without the wonderful vibe Sanne brings to our office at the Haarlemmerstraat, this adventure would not only be half the fun, but probably also not successful. The past years, Sanne showed us how important and valuable the role and input of the super vibe manager can be that Sanne is.
From starting the day with a beaming smile, handling the every day administration and making sure we have a organized and cozy place to work, to offering a listening ear and providing a compassionate hug when you can use it most: Sanne is by far the best office and vibe manager one could wish for as a start-up.
